After the amazing fun reunion, we had the pleasure of visiting with Michael for the day before he headed back to school. Often times he has to catch a crazy bus to come to the reunion and I kept telling him that anyway we can help get him we'd love to. It was a very nice treat to show him around a little.
We took Michael to lunch at RJ Gators in Cornelius where he found this great hot sauce...Sir Fartalot...this was in honor of his Aunt Linda! 
Rick was able to steal away some time from work to meet up with us! 
We drove around to some race shops and ended up getting to watch a couple of Pitt stops,

After this stop the crew came to the fence with some lug nuts from the stop! Pretty neat, since we were stalking them up close and all!
We stopped by Dale Earnhardt Inc. That place sure has changed, once dubbed the Garage Mahaul, it seems ghostly with loss of Dale, sponsorship and Dale Jr. Which by the way, I drove Michael to Jr's gates and took a picture of him there for his Mom!
We stopped by Lowe's Motor Speedway hoping for a van tour, but they were having races that night and we weren't able to do the tour...however I asked someone at the desk for a special favor and ...
We were able to get into the stands to see the track.

We then drove over to the new ZMax drag strip, they spared no expense on this place either!
Soon it was time to take Michael to the bus station. He picked Salisbury because it was more east, the direction he was going and not as congested as Charlotte. We left with some spare time so we wouldn't miss the bus...only we couldn't find the station.

We left with some spare time so we wouldn't miss the bus...only we couldn't find the station. It ended up being a bus "STOP" at this citgo gas station...see the small "Greyhound Bus" sign? We had passed the gas station twice and on the second time we saw the sign! A quick drop turned out to be an even better short uninterrupted visit in the van before the bus showed up! You know, since it was a "STOP" there was no place to sit, like at a "STATION" I thought it would be best if we just sat in my air conditioned van! 
The bus arrived and we said our goodbyes! It really was a fun day, we don't really do race tour type stuff anymore and it was just a big treat to see and share with a great guy!
