We headed up to Sparta NC for Aunt Kate's annual family reunion. Rick couldn't make the trip this year and I wasn't about to miss out! I love these people!
We always stop at this scenic overlook.

When we get there we have some lunch, it was indoors this year because of the threat of rain. Disappointing was not having a volleyball net to play volleyball! We always enjoy that so much. The guys all settled for football, while most of us girls cheered them on! 
This little one is so happy, she just scored cash from Uncle George and Uncle Tom, it was a competition between the both of them, a dollar from Uncle Tom, 2 from Uncle George, another dollar from Uncle Tom, then a Gold dollar from Uncle George. Uncle Tom then had to give Kaylie 4 quarters and then he held out his VISA card. Uncle George folded...both she and Lexie got $4!

Every year we all moan and groan about family pictures, and yet we love to have them, especially shots of this bunch, never a dull moment!
My family, missing Rick of course!

Lexie caught a minnow in a small stream. This is actually a funny and sad story! She caught her minnow and placed it in the wagon cup holder for safe keeping. While the men played football, the women kept filling their drinks with plenty of ice and water. Lexie came back to check on her minnow to find it had been iced to DEATH! One of the gals filling up the drinks, didn't notice Lexie's prize! We immediately went to work, scooping out ice, dumping out water, but when we reached the minnow it was obvious we were too late!
At this point we called it an afternoon and headed back to the hotel,
