What's in a Nick Nack Name?

When my Sister was little she commonly referred to a Nick Name as a Nick Nack Name. I am assuming it's because the words Nick Nack's was used a lot in our home, because we had a lot of Nick Nacks! My Mother is a collector of sorts, she got us collecting things too...

but that's for another day!

This is Lindsay, her Nick Nack Names- Lindsay, "L", Sis, Linds, Roo

Kodi and his Nick Nack Names- Kodi, Kode, Robert, Bow, Kodi Bob

Lexie and her Nick Nack Names- Lexie, Lextrabotic, Bug, Lexie Annie Wannie
Kaylie and her Nick Nack Names- Kaylie, Kake, Kakeanator, Kaywee winee, Precious, Kake a Boo, Mack, or Mackie Mack

Rick goes by- Rick, Ricky, Daddy

I am- Dottie, Mom, Mommy

We also succumb to other names in our house. For a long time, if you were mad at someone in the house you would refer to them by saying their name and adding a nasty sounding A. Like LindsA, KodA, LexA, KaylA...some of my favorites (aside from the normal, jerk, stupid...) are butt toucher and butt sniffer. (butt sniffer is particularly funny coming from Kaylie who can not pronounce her R's. So it comes out more like a "butt sniffa", say it, it's hilarious!)
