Trick or Treat

October 31, 2006 It's trick or treat night in our neighborhood. Everyone is ready to go.

Lindsay is a Fashion Designer this year, she is carrying a blue jean purse with all her fabric swatches. Kodi is a neighborhood clown. He saw the costume idea from an add. He and Lindsay then went to work recreating the costume from stuff we had at home. They painted his shirt and everything. Lexie Anne, is my Cinderella and Kaylie Lynn is my Tinkerbell!

Lindsay and Kodi couldn't possibly trick or treat with us slow pokes. So they ran ahead with our neighbor friends, Jonathan and Nathaniel.

Daddy was the wagon driver. Pappy gave Lexie and Kaylie this wagon a few years ago and we still use it for everything. We took off one side so the girls could just sit down. Daddy would pull the girls into most driveways and let them off, while Mommy got to take them to the door.

The door is such a scary place! The girls were brave at the door bell until they heard dogs inside. Nothing will clear them off a porch faster then barking dogs. So then Mom would have to come to the rescue and help them get their candy.

One porch we came too had a nice lady dressed like a dog, she even had big floopy ears. She pleasantly greeted the girls and told them to get some candy from her bowl. When Kaylie reached into her bowl, the lady simply said, "woof". Kaylie reached her hand back fast and started to cry!

After the girls would ring the bell, they would peer into the windows to see if anyone was coming and to look out for dogs. The girls had filled they're pumpkins once and had to get walmart bags from a nice neighbor lady to empty them. Their pumpkins were so heavy they could barely carry them. Daddy had to carry Lexie's bag and Mommy had to carry Kaylie's bag. The girls could ride in the wagon resting their pumpkin buckets until the next door. The pumpkin's were filled for a second time by the time we got home!
