March 2006:
During spring break we took a trip to see our family in Maryland. One special treat was the day Grandma took us away all day. We went to Rocky Ridge slide, then to Catocin Mountain, and Cunningham Falls. We climbed the large slide, we played at the playground, enjoyed a picnic lunch, played on another small playground, looked at a covered bridge, went inside the covered bridge while Mom looked on in horror, worried about oncoming traffic, then hiked to Cunningham Falls. After all the fun we had, we found this sand filled area and the water, near where we parked the car. The water was like ICE! However, we played the absolute best there, we got along well, skipped rocks, threw mounds of sand, and after just 10 seconds in the water, we couldn't feel our feet. It was so much fun when we finally convinced Grandma to try out the water. She soon found out just how cold the water was! If only Grandma and Mom would have known just how great we would have gotten along while playing in the water and sand, they would have brought us there first! Posted by Picasa
